A message from the Chair
I would like to open by thanking all those who have helped our small Charitable Trust over the years and all those that have scrutinised our annual accounts.
I write this as we are approaching our last ESG meeting of trustees and the next Chair’s report will be the last one. This will include a summary of all the Charitable Trust’s activities.
As mentioned in my previous report, it has been a challenging time for charities, but we were delighted to fund a further programme of sociable singing by Age UK Enfield. This was enormously enjoyed by local older people, and I really enjoyed the morning I attended.
As we wind down to closure, we are all very proud that as a final project we funded ChickenShed Southgate to deliver a musical programme with refugee and asylum seeker children. I attended one of the sessions and all the trustees attended the end of programme presentation. I know how much the young people enjoyed the sessions.
Finally, I want to thank all the trustees for their commitment and all the organisations that we have worked with over the years.

A message from the Chair
I think everyone would acknowledge how difficult the last three years have been during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our small charity had to cancel the Looked After Children Choir and the Edmonton Peace Choir during this time, as it was no longer viable to run these choirs during this time of national emergency.
However, we did manage to organise a virtual fundraiser for Mind, Enfield, and this online concert focussed on promoting the free counselling service that Mind were offering to the residents of Enfield. We also wanted to support the musical community of Enfield by arranging an online Christmas concert that was appreciated by all those not able to get out at the time. In addition, we funded the One-to-One Choir, who presented a most wonderful Twelve Days of Christmas ensemble.
Time has moved on and we are pleased that last year we were able to award a year’s funding to Age-UK Enfield for a sociable choir, reaching out specifically to those with dementia. Last year we also funded a lunch time choir with West Lea School (Broomfield). This has enabled them to work with Chickenshed and both projects have been enormously successful.
I want to thank the ESG trustees, Paul Everitt and all the organisations we have worked with during this difficult period, during which we nevertheless made a real, positive difference to many people. I look forward to the future work we can do to support the residents of Enfield and our music community.
